ไม้อีกตัวที่อยากจะแนะนำในวันนี้คือ Wilson K Factor KBlade Tour 93 ซึ่งเป็น paintjob เดียวกับที่ Novak Djokovic ใช้อยู่

เข้าใจว่ามีหลายคนคงจะให้ความสนใจกับเจ้า KBlade Tour (KBT) ตัวนี้อยู่เพราะเป็นไม้ที่เหมือนว่า Djokovic จะใช้ในตอน Australian Open 2008 แล้วก็ชนะมา ผมก็สนใจเหมือนกันตอนแรกกะว่าจะไม่แล้วเชียวเพราะไม่ชอบไม้ของวิลสันที่เป็น Asian Version เพราะน้ำหนักมันจะเบากว่า US version 20 กรัม แต่ตัว KBlade Tour ตัวนี้เป็นข้อยกเว้นครับ น้ำหนักทั้งสองเวอร์ชั่นจะเท่ากันเป๊ะเลยคือ 324 grams unstrung น้ำหนักกำลังเหมาะมือครับ ไม้ที่ผมมัอยู่ส่วนใหญ่ก็ประมาณ 310-330 กรัมนี่แหละ ทันทีที่ได้มาทางร้านก็เสนอให้ลองขึ้นกับเอ็นมัลติฟิลลาเมนต์ของ Boris Becker Sensor 17 ปกติผมจะใช้ Babolat Xcel Premium เป็นหลักเพราะมันนุ่มกับแขน แต่วันนี้ลองของใหม่ก็ได้

KBlade Tour VS MicroGel Prestige
เป็นที่คาดการณ์กันว่า KBT เป็นอาวุธที่ทาง Wilson ออกแบบมาเพื่อแย่งตลาดของ Head Prestige users ซึ่งในเวลาไล่เลี่ยกัน Head ก็ออก Microgel Prestige Mid ออกมาเพื่อมาแย่งตลาด Wilson ด้วยเช่นกัน ผมได้มีโอกาสลองทั้งสองอันแล้วยังไม่พบข้อที่คล้ายกันเลยนอกจากความเป็นไม้ระดับ mid size แค่นั้นเอง นี่คือข้อแตกต่างครับ

Feel: ทันทีที่ลองซวิงจะรู้สึกว่าหัวไม้เบามากๆและ sweet spot ก็ใหญ่กว่า MGP มากด้วย แล้ว stroke ของ KBT แน่นมาก clean มาก ทุกลูกที่ตีเหมือนโดน sweet spot ผมว่า KBT น่าจะซวิงคล้ายกับ Head MicroGel Radical mid+ มากกว่า คือต้องซวิงเร็วๆเหมาะกับ Agressive game แต่ต่างกันที่ KBT มัน้ำหนักมากกว่า เล่นเกมส์ได้หลากหลายกว่า จริงๆผมอยากให้มันหนักกว่านี้ซักหน่อยนะจะยิ่ง plow-thru ได้ดีกว่านี้ ให้มันใกล้เคียงกับ Head PC600 ไปเลย นอกเรื่องไปไกลแล้ว เข้าเรื่องดีกว่า เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับ MGP ในแง่ของ feel แล้วนั้นสรุปข้อแตกต่างคือ

KBT: แน่น-คม หน้าไม้นิ่งกว่า เงียบกว่า ดูดลูกดีกว่า ทำให้คอนโทรลลูกหน้าเน็ตง่ายกว่า
MGP: แน่น-นุ่ม หน้าไม้ lively กว่ามากๆ ทันทีที่ลูกกระทบหน้าไม้ลูกจะดีดตัวออกทันที

Power: KBT มีเพาว์เวอร์น้อยกว่านิดหน่อย ต้องอาศัย full swing เพื่อดันให้ลูกไปลงที่ท้ายคอร์ท ในขณะที่ MGP นั้น power จะคล้ายๆกับ K90 คือลูกพุ่งออกจากหน้าไม้เร็วกว่า กดลูกเลียดหน้าเน็ตได้ดีกว่า

การประสานงานระหว่างร่างกายกับแร็กเก็ต: เสน่ห์อย่างนึงที่พบใน KBT คือมันสามารถทำงานได้อย่างสมดุลย์ในขณะที่ร่างกายเคลื่อนไหว โดยเฉพาะถ้าต้องวิ่งแล้วตีจากมุมหนึ่งไปอีกมุมหนึ่ง เช่น running forehand ผมไม่รู้สึกว่าผมต้องเตรียมวงซวิงล่วงหน้าเร็วเกินไป ทุกอย่างลืนไหลเป็นไปอย่างธรรมชาติ

Control: ทีหน้าเน็ทผมว่า KBT จะคุมบอลได้ง่ายกว่า อาจเป็นเพราะว่ามันดูดบอลให้อยู่บนหน้าไม้ได้นานกว่า ทำให้กะแรงกะระยะได้ง่ายกว่า แต่ถ้าเป็นการยิงจากท้ายคอร์ทผมว่า K90 เหนือกว่าในแง่ของความลึกและความหลากหลาย
Power: K90 มีมากกว่าเห็นๆถ้าตีโดน sweet spot นะ
Stiffness:
- K90 จะอ่อนตัวที่ก้าน แต่แข็งที่หน้าไม้ - ถ้าหวดแบบสบัดข้อมือด้วย ลูกจะพุ่งมาก power เยอะกว่า น่าจะเหมาะกับพวกที่เน้นเสิร์ฟ หรือเล่นทิศทางจากท้ายคอร์ท
- KBlade จะอ่อนตัวที่หน้าไม้ แต่แข็งที่ก้าน - ตอนที่ลูกโดนเอ็นรู้สึกได้เลยว่า ลูกมันจมเข้าไปในเอ็นมากกว่าใน K61 น่าจะเหมาะกับพวกที่ชอบ volley หรือ spin

I've just got a racquet in March 08. It's strung with multi-filament string - Boris Becker Sensor 17. It's speculated as a main competitor to Head MG Prestige Mid. However, I found 2 racquets so different. KBlade Tour is SO LIGHT and have VERY BIG sweet spot. It's so comfortable. I wish it could have been heavier for more plow-thru effect. It swings pretty much like Head MG Radical Mid, which is suitable aggressive players. Due to thin profile and light weight, I can swing thru the air quickly on flat and spin. There are more pluses than minuses on this frame. My first impression was on how clean I can hit to ball on both sides.

MG Prestige VS. KBlade Tour

Feel: Feel wise in comparison to MG Prestige, MG Prestige is kind of springy and make "twang" sound while KBlade produces super solid "thwap" sound and crisp response. The ball seems to dwell deep into KBlade Tour stringbed longer than it does on MG Prestige Mid. This makes great touch and feel. It is an ideal stick for volley.

Power: Power from KBlade is a little lower than MG Prestige, but it's very controllable. I need to take full swing to get the ball landed deep.

Synchronization between body movement and racquet: It's interesting to see KBlade Tour works very well with body movement, especially when I run. It's very natural to swing hard and stay balanced on the run. I am satisfied with my running forehand and half-volley. This stick is truely for all-court players as well as for double. Like typical light frames, KBlade has a minor stability problem. That's the only downside I saw.

K90 VS. KBlade Tour

I played K90 and KBlade Tour to compare them side by side. Both racquets are midsize, but they are totally different. I tended to hit more accurate balls with KBlade Tour while I get more powerful shot from K90. I think both racquets are designed to serve different styles of plays.

K90 Tour: It's stiff at the head and flexible at throat. On ball impact, the ball launches right off the stringbed with good speed. It's good for serve, and baseline game.

KBlade Tour: It's flexible at head and stiff at throat. The ball tends to sink deep in stringbed longer. Great control and nice touch. This is good for volley and spin.

Final words: KBlade Tour is creating a new trend of control oriented racquets today. It will definitely add a big fun factor to your game.
